The Yonkers Police Department released a surveillance video from a home in Crestwood that showed an African American suspect who walked up to a parked car, pulled its handle, found that it was locked before taking off while looking around.
In the video, the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, sneakers, and a backpack.
The latest incident comes on the heels of several similar incidents throughout Westchester, which were caught on home surveillance cameras, including a second thief in Yonkers who has since been apprehended.
“We continue to make multiple LFA arrests but need your help!,” the department posted on Facebook. “Please do not present an easy target; secure your belongings and lock your car doors at night! And please call us if you observe suspicious activity (914) 377-7900; emergencies dial 9-1-1. #YonkersPD"
